This year in 2023, Shoot Spaces has begun to feature one rental space each month as a way to get out and explore some of the amazing rental spaces in and around our community. The featured space could be a venue, a studio, a short-term rental, a co-working, or a creative space. Finding and exploring rentals is what I do!
It’s April, and wedding season is officially here! This month, to celebrate, I have a gorgeous wedding space to share with you!
Shoot Spaces’ Featured Venue for April is The Paddock. The Paddock is a historic home on the southwest side of Fort Wayne, heading toward Columbia City.
The Paddock Homestead was originally built in 1885 by Eli and Amanda Watson and over the years, has been home to farmland, swine raising, a nursery, and even miniature horses. This quiet, 15-acre property sits back off the road and features both indoor and outdoor ceremony locations.

When it comes to planning your special day, The Paddock has thought of everything! They pride themselves on making venue rental easy and worry-free with their all-inclusive venue pricing. Rental of the large venue space includes ceremony and reception areas, tables and chairs, and a huge selection of gently used decor. The Paddock also has an open catering policy so you can choose any food vendor you like, as well as, affordable bar service options too.

Unique Amenities at The Paddock
The Homestead
The Paddock FW has so many unique amenities that set this venue apart from its competition. This venue redefines full service with luxury, on-site accommodations at The Homestead for the bridal party the night before the wedding included in your rental. This spacious 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home sleeps 10 people, making it convenient and easy to keep your bridal party close for pre-wedding preparations. The main house also features a full kitchen, wine bar, and large dining room, making it perfect for rehearsal dinners as well.
Separate Bridal Party and Groomsmen Quarters
The Paddock also offers a separate Bridal Suite with a lounge and dressing area. The gorgeous bridal suite also features a second room with five hair and makeup stations and lots of outlets. In the Groom’s Barn out back, you’ll find a big screen TV, pool table, fridge, bar, and private bathroom to keep the fellas busy as well.

Operation Makeover
Along with the nice weather and wedding season, comes Operation Makeover! The Paddock is always growing to give you bigger space and better amenities! A glass overhead door has been recently added to the reception barn this season, along with an outdoor patio space. Other improvements are also underway to be completed as their reservation schedule permits.
