The right gear can make all the difference between a mundane snapshot and a mesmerizing masterpiece. It’s an art form that requires not only a keen eye but also a set of tools that can transform your creative vision into reality. As a passionate photographer, I have embarked on countless adventures armed with my trusted photography gear, and in this blog post, I am excited to unveil the ensemble of equipment that has become the heart and soul of my photographic journey. Whether you’re a fellow photography enthusiast or simply curious about the tools that bring images to life, I invite you to dive into the world of my favorite photography gear.
My Photo Gear
These are actual items that I have purchased and use in my photography business on a daily or weekly basis to create portraits, product, and real estate photography.
I shoot with a Canon Rebel EOS 800D, T7i DSLR. My favorite lenses to shoot with are my 35 mm, f1.8 and the nifty 50mm. Both of these lenses have a low f-stop for maximum clarity. I also like the 18-55 mm, f4-5.6 kit lens for its versatility when shooting groups and landscapes.
I back up all of my personal and session photos on separate external hard drives to prevent losing any images.
This Neweer mobile camera battery charger has saved my session more than once! It’s super convenient to keep in the car to charge extra batteries on the way to a shoot.
I found this changing tent through another photographer that I follow on social media. It is perfect for providing a private space for clients to change outfits in public during a shoot.
I sometimes use an external flash when taking photos of clients in low-light situations. With its adjustable head, this Godox flash is perfect for portraits!
I love this small travel SD card holder! It allows me to always have a couple of extra cards on hand when out on a shoot. It even had a small clip on it to attach to your bag, camera, or keychain.

If you suffer from focus and concentration issues, Listen UP!
I am a mom of nine and mostly work at home. I suffer from what I call “sensory overload” when I am in public or when trying to concentrate in loud or distracting situations. This used to cause me a lot of anxiety and sometimes made me short and irritable.
Then I found Loop. Loop earplugs allow me to lessen or completely block out the sounds around me, depending on the circumstance. Let me tell you, these earplugs have been a GAMECHANGER for my focus and concentration.
Loop carries several different models of earplugs and accessories to help you lessen or block out noise and distractions. They even have smaller-sized earplugs for kids too that work great for my teen son.
If you suffer from “sensory overload” or have trouble with focus and concentration, I encourage you to give LOOP earplugs a try!
